Use of Armorial Bearings and Emblems

The armorial bearings of Alberta (coat of arms) represents provincial sovereignty and the authority of the Lieutenant Governor, Premier, Ministers, the Legislative Assembly, members of the Legislative Assembly and their offices. The Coat of Arms is used by the Court of Appeal, the Court of Queen's Bench, the Provincial Court and provincial judges.

Use of the Alberta Coat of Arms by any other person or institution must be authorized by the Minister of Culture and Tourism under the Emblems of Alberta Act.

All requests for reproduction of the armorial bearings must be submitted in writing to:
