Alberta Arts Days - 2010
It's official. Alberta Arts Days will return in 2010. Albertans will once again have the opportunity, for three special days, to discover, experience and celebrate our unique blend of peoples and passions, and the importance of arts and culture to a healthy and vibrant Alberta.
Alberta Arts Days will again be the third weekend in September running Friday, September 17 through Sunday September 19, 2010.
The third weekend in September worked very well for Arts Days 2009. Teachers and students in Alberta's schools were able to catch their collective breath after the early September rush, then jump right into their Arts Days activities. Art galleries, theatre companies, musical groups and facilities offering art classes found it was a great time to "re-boot" their public profile after the busy summer festival season. And, not least, the weather was still reasonable for outdoor activities.
