Alberta Culture Days, Sept. 28-30

We’ve changed our name! Alberta's largest celebration of our artistic sector, heritage, cultural diversity and provincial pride is now Alberta Culture Days. The change in name is one of the outcomes of Culture Forum 2012, which occured February 24 & 25 in Red Deer and involved nearly 400 representatives of Alberta's broad culture sector. It's also a more accurate reflection of what many of you are already doing. Last year, thousands of Albertans participated in 1,046 events in 93 communities.

Now is the time to start thinking about planning events for 2012. Please continue to visit this site often for updates and new customizable resource materials. And don’t forget to mark September 28 - 30 in your calendar! All communities, artists and arts organizations, schools, libraries, museums, historic sities, culture and recreation facilities, and individual Albertans are all encouraged to join the celebration.

Alberta Arts Days Radio   Alberta Artists Radio features the voices of nearly 500 Alberta recording artists, record labels and recording studios. If you would like to submit songs to this station, please send us an email at AlbertaCultureDays@gov.ab.ca
