Myer Horowitz Theatre, Edmonton

On the evening of Saturday, September 19, the Myer Horowitz Theatre at the University of Alberta will put a young, contemporary spin on Alberta's diversity. Three exciting Alberta musical artists will celebrate Alberta Arts Days in one unforgettable concert. Calgary indie rockers The Dudes will share the bill with Cadence Weapon, aka Rollie Pemberton, Edmonton's own internationally renowned rapper and poet laureate, and Bonnyville singer-songwriter Mike Plume.

Doors open at 6:30; Admission is FREE but seating is limited, so come early!

Also on the evening of Saturday, September 19, just a block away, the Northern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium presents its Arts Days Block Party, starting at 8:00 p.m. The Block Party will feature a new media art exhibition, workshops and live music.

If you're downtown during Alberta Arts Days, the University of Alberta's campus at Enterprise Square (the old Hudson's Bay Building) is a hot spot of Arts and Culture Central.

Arts and Culture Central begins the afternoon of Friday, September 18, with celebrations of Edmonton's arts talent in a variety of venues throughout Alberta Arts Days. Partners include the Winspear Centre, the Art Gallery of Alberta, the 104 Street Farmers' Market, Citadel Theatre, Alberta Craft Council, Stanley Milner Library, Capital Arts Building, Latitude 53 Gallery and -- as a performance art venue -- Scona Pool.
