The Provincial Archives of Alberta presents Alberta & the Great War
August 20, 2014 – August 29, 2015
2014 marks the centennial of the outbreak of the First World War, a conflict that would define the course of the 20th century with reverberations still felt today. Drawing upon archival holdings, Alberta & the Great War explores the many ways the First World War affected and changed the province.

The Alberta Legislature: More than Steel, Stone & Glass: 1912-2012
This exhibit celebrates the hundredth anniversary of the Alberta Legislature Building. Rising 176 feet into the prairie sky, the building is faced with granite and sandstone and the interior is finished with over two thousand tons of marble. The grand structure is a symbolic anchor for the province – a reminder of its past and a vision for its future.
