Alberta Visitor Information Providers Conference

The Alberta Visitor Information Providers (AVIP) Conference is an annual two day event that brings together visitor services managers, supervisors and representatives from across Alberta to explore new topics and trends, share ideas, and strengthen the network of the AVIP Community.

2016 Alberta Visitor Information Providers Conference

Alberta Culture and Tourism, in collaboration with the Spruce Grove and District Chamber of Commerce, is excited to bring the 2016 Alberta Visitor Information Providers (AVIP) Conference to central Alberta.

What: 2016 AVIP Conference
When: Sept 27-28, 2016 (with pre-conference activities on Sept 26)
Who: Supervisors/managers of visitor information centres (VICs), and representatives of VICs managing organizations
Where: Holiday Inn Express and Suites, Spruce Grove, Alberta

This year delegates will “Discover the Value of the Visitor” as they learn about new visitor servicing channels and valuable best practices to better understand the needs of the visitor market and community.

Delegates can look forward to engaging breakout sessions, a dynamic keynote presentation and exciting pre-conference activities. The AVIP Conference is also hosted in conjunction with the AMMY Awards Gala, which celebrates the achievements of both individuals and VICs and their outstanding services in the areas of operational, visitor services and individual excellence. Attendance is free for AVIP members and includes all conference fees and meals.
