Culinary tourism is defined by the International Food Tourism Association as the pursuit of unique and memorable eating and drinking experiences.

According to the Alberta Culinary Tourism Alliance, culinary tourism adds value to the visitor experience by connecting producers and chefs, featuring the culinary talent of our province, and creating new and memorable experiences for visitors to see, touch, smell and taste Alberta.

Are you a farmer or a chef? Does your community have a culinary event? Learn more about hosting an on-farm or culinary experience through the Culinary Tourism Event Handbook.
